Travel Immunizations
If you will be traveling abroad and need immunizations, please request a "travel abroad
appointment." An appointment will be scheduled with a clinician to review which shots will be
required for your planned itinerary. We encourage all travelers to be seen ideally six to eight
weeks before their departure (or soon as travel plans are known) as some immunizations require
injections over a 30-day minimum period of time.
Anyone requesting immunizations for travel may be requested to see a clinician at the Student Health Services (located within Watkin's Memorial Health Center)
before immunization is given, even if they have previously been seen by their local
medical doctor. This is to ensure the patient receives the most current
information/recommendations regarding immunizations, as well as to avoid duplication or unnecessary
medications.
