Health Fee Explained
The Health Fee is paid as part of the campus fee. It may include payment of a full or partial Student
Health Fee.
Students enrolled on Lawrence campus and paying fees for six credit hours or more ( five hours for summer) are full fee payers. Those who have paid for
less six credit hours ( five hours for summer) are partial fee payers.
The Student Health Fee entitles you to health care at
Student Health Services, some of which is prepaid by the Student Health Fee.
The Student Health Fee does not cover Student Health Insurance (an optional plan which you
may or may not choose to purchase.)
A group insurance policy is made available by the Kansas Board of Regents.
Student Health Services is considered a gatekeeper.

Receivable System for collection by the Comptroller's Office. To clear a hold you must contact
the
Comptroller's Office (Burser's Office) in Carruth O' Leary Hall at

Eligibility
Eligibility for health care at Student Health Services begins with payment of the Campus
Health Fee for each semester; fall, spring, and summer, and ends at the end of each semester.
Partial fee payers must pay the remainder of the Student Health Fee for each semester to be eligible for services and consequently have some health services prepaid.
