Appointments (at Student Health Services)

Students are strongly encouraged to make appointments to be seen by a physician at Watkins Health Center. Same-day appointments are frequently available. Making an appointment makes better use of your valuable time with much less waiting. Please call 785.864.9507 to make an appointment.

The regular office visit charge is waived before 4:30pm for appointment visits to a health care provider. The office visit charge is waived after 4:30pm for appointments only.

When setting your appointment, have your class schedule available as well as your KU ID number. It is important to be specific about your needs so that you can be scheduled with the appropriate health care provider for the necessary amount of time. All conversations with the appointment clerks are confidential. Please check in at the Registration Desk 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.

Please call the appointment clerk at 785.864.9507 if you are unable to keep your appointment, so that the appointment slot can be utilized by another student. There is a charge for appointments not canceled 2 hours in advance. If you need to cancel an early morning appointment, you must call the evening before to avoid the cancellation fee. A voicemail system is activated after health center closing.
